Arsenal maintain title push with crucial victory over Tottenham

Arsenal secured a crucial victory in the Premier League title race by overcoming Tottenham Hotspur in a tense north London derby. Mikel Arteta's team extended their lead at the top of the table to four points, with second-place Manchester City yet to play their fixture against Nottingham Forest later in the day. The Gunners capitalized on defensive lapses from Spurs to establish a commanding three-goal lead by halftime.

 

Despite an impressive first-half performance from Arsenal, the match took a nervy turn in the second half when a mistake from goalkeeper David Raya allowed Cristian Romero to pull one back for Tottenham in the 64th minute. The tension heightened further when Heung-min Son converted a penalty for Spurs in the final minutes of normal time after Declan Rice fouled Ben Davies, setting up a tense finale.
