Arsenal fans should be grateful- Mikel Arteta sends message ahead of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang reunion

The Gabonese star is due to visit north London on Tuesday for the first time since his acrimonious departure for Barcelona in February 2022.
Aubameyang captained the Gunners while making 163 appearances and scoring 92 goals. He was removed of his leadership and escorted out of the stadium, nevertheless, for disobeying club regulations.
Mikel Arteta stated that while welcome Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang back to Emirates Stadium, Arsenal supporters should "say thank you and be appreciative."
For the first time since his contentious exit for Barcelona in February 2022, the Gabonese star is scheduled to return to north London on Tuesday.
With the Gunners, Aubameyang served as club captain while also scoring 92 goals in 163 appearances. However, after breaking club rules, he was relieved of his captaincy and led out of the stadium.
Prior to his first meeting with Arsenal at Stamford Bridge in November, he sent them a "nothing personal" message after returning to England with Chelsea.
Ahead of a meeting with the 33-year-old, who might not get the warmest welcome, Arteta assured reporters that he will not harbor any grudges against Aubameyang when he returns to the Emirates.
“Let’s say thank you. Pay respect and gratitude for what he was. He was an incredible player for us, scored a lot of goals, he was our captain, and he deserves that. Say thank you and be grateful.”
Artreta is still upbeat as Arsenal enters their match against Chelsea in the middle of the week without a victory in their previous four games, knocking them off the top place in the Premier League standings. On the difficulties his side would face during the encounter, he added:
“We still have the nicest part of the season to play with five games to go. When I look at it, this is not over. We can still achieve the Premier League because there are five games to go and a lot of things are going to happen still. I’d pay a lot of money next season to be in this position, believe me.”
