Arsenal has entered the competition to sign Michael Olise, a 2021 Super Eagles invitee who is also eligible to play for the national teams of England, France, and Algeria.
According to reports from 90min via Football.London, the Gunners are keen on acquiring the talented Crystal Palace player, but they will have to face stiff competition from Manchester City and Chelsea, who have also shown interest in his services.
As per the same report, Michael Olise, who represents France at the U21 level, is being considered as a potential alternative to Mohammed Kudus, the Ghanaian international, who has been linked with a move to Chelsea.
However, Arsenal views Kudus' valuation of 40 million pounds as excessive at the moment, making Olise an appealing and more affordable option at a price of 35 million pounds.
Arsenal's manager, Mikel Arteta, still aims to add another attacking option to his squad, and Olise is considered a promising addition to the team. His ability to play as a right winger would also provide an alternative to Bukayo Saka should he join Arteta's side.
During the current transfer window, Arsenal has already secured the signings of Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber, and Declan Rice, and they have plans to make three more additions to strengthen the team before the transfer window closes.
Michael Olise's potential arrival at the Emirates Stadium could play a significant role in bolstering the Gunners' attacking prowess and further enhancing their squad for the upcoming season.
