Arsenal covertly pursuing Super Eagles-eligible player in background efforts

Arsenal is actively pursuing the acquisition of Super Eagles-eligible player Arthur Okonkwo before the transfer window closes. 

The club's efforts, reported by TEAMtalk, are focused on orchestrating either a permanent or loan deal for the goalkeeper, with a preference for a permanent move. 

Despite an impressive loan spell at Sturm Graz last season, Okonkwo finds himself lower down in Arsenal's goalkeeping hierarchy, behind Aaron Ramsdale and David Raya. 

With his contract entering its final 12 months, the Gunners are motivated to make a move this summer. 

Although various European clubs have shown interest, progress with potential destinations remains limited, making a move to lower English divisions or abroad a more probable scenario for the Anglo-Nigerian goalkeeper due to increased playing time opportunities.
