The management of Aper Aku Stadium, Markurdi on Friday announced that the stadium renovations would be completed in earnest.
The 8,000 sitting capacity stadium was initially renovated in 2007 will now have its artificial turf removed to pave way for the latest version of synthetic pitch.
The management told Africa Sport Network (ASN) that Moni Michelle Sports Constructions Limited, the company saddled with the responsibility to install the artificial turf on the pitch had been well mobilised to ensure speedy completion.
Mr Ebi Egbe, the contractor was seen at the site with his team removing the dilapidated artificial turf on the pitch as well as other particles in preparation to replace them with the new modern and advanced synthetic turf that would stand the test of time.
The Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lobi Stars FC, Donminic Iorfa while reacting to the development expressed satisfaction with the attitude and manner in which the contractor has approached the project.
He stressed that with such pace of work on, the project would be completed on time.
