Saudi Arabia's pursuit of Vinicius Jr. continues, with reports suggesting that representatives of the Saudi Wealth Fund are prepared to offer the Brazilian an extraordinary €1 billion salary over five years. Despite these staggering figures, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti remains unfazed, reiterating that the issue is not a topic of discussion within the club.

 

 Speaking ahead of Real Madrid’s match against Osasuna, Ancelotti emphasized Vinicius' happiness at the club, dismissing speculation about a potential move and stating that the player himself has not mentioned it.

 

Vinicius, now in his seventh season with Real Madrid, recently expressed his hope to finalize a contract extension soon following the team’s thrilling 3-2 Champions League win over Manchester City.

 

 Reports from ESPN indicate that his representatives have already communicated his salary expectations to the club, with the Brazilian aiming for a higher wage than Kylian Mbappé, the club’s top earner.

 

Ancelotti remains confident in his star forward’s commitment, praising his performance against City and highlighting his focus despite external distractions.

 

While Ancelotti downplayed the immediate threat posed by the Saudi league to European clubs, he acknowledged that it could become more competitive in the future.

 

Regarding his own career prospects, the Italian coach did not rule out managing in Saudi Arabia one day, stating that his decision would depend on his desire to continue coaching after his tenure at Real Madrid.
