2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 33: All eyes on Shooting Stars as team travels to Yenagoa to face Bayelsa United

All eyes will be on Shooting Stars SC of Ibadan as they travel to face Bayelsa United FC in the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 33, scheduled to be played at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa.


For the Oluyole Warriors, it’s a time for reassessment after their disappointing performance on Match Day 32 of the 2024/2025 NPFL, where the team failed to score.


The aftermath saw violent fans of the Ibadan side unleash mayhem on the visiting team, Ikorodu City FC, leaving many injured.


Consequently, the Oluyole Warriors were handed a hefty fine of ₦5 million and a stadium ban by the league management.


The stadium ban, effective for the remainder of the season, is a major setback to the Oluyole Warriors’ aspirations for a continental slot, so the team must make every match count, starting with this first away fixture against the Prosperity Boys.


For Ladan Bosso, the Technical Adviser of Bayelsa United FC, his team must show improvement after narrowly escaping the jaws of relegation.


Currently placed 13th on the 2024/2025 NPFL table, the Prosperity Boys need to maintain 100 per cent focus if they are to claim the three points at stake against the visiting Oluyole Warriors.
