Alex Iwobi expresses support for fellow Hale End product, Chuba Akpom

Alex Iwobi, a product of the Hale End Academy himself, expresses his belief that Chuba Akpom has a bright future with the Nigerian national team, despite his recent omission from the squad for the AFCON qualifying match against Sierra Leone. 

Nigeria manager Jose Peseiro cited bureaucratic reasons for Akpom's exclusion, as he has favored other prolific strikers such as Osimhen, Moffi, and Iheanacho. 

Akpom's impressive goal-scoring form with Middlesbrough last season, where he netted 29 goals, highlights his potential contribution to the Super Eagles. 

Iwobi acknowledges the challenges in the coach's selection process but hopes that Akpom will get his opportunity to showcase his talents and encourages him to be patient as he awaits his chance. 

Despite training with the Nigerian team in the past, Akpom was provisionally cap-tied to England due to his previous involvement with the English youth setup.
