Al-Nassr gets eliminated from King Cup of Champions, Ronaldo misses an opportunity for a win

As Al-Nassr lost to Al-Wehda in the King Cup of Champions, Cristiano Ronaldo squandered a fantastic opportunity by hitting the crossbar from eight yards out.

In the cup match on Monday night at the KSU Stadium, Al-chances Nassr's were over as Jean-David Beauguel's acrobatic goal in the 23rd minute proved to be the deciding factor.

Despite many scoring chances, Ronaldo was unable to take advantage of them. The greatest one came in the 82nd minute when Abdulrahman Ghareeb blasted a low cross from the left into the box, but the 38-year-old slammed the upright from close range after failing to keep his shot down.

With a draw against 12th-placed Al-Feiha and a derby loss to Al-Hilal, Ronaldo has now gone three games without scoring for Al-Nassr.

Due to their recent poor performance, they are now in second place in the Saudi Pro League, three points behind Al-Ittihad despite having played one more game.

After the loss to Al-Wehda, the striker cut a disgruntled figure on the field. He will be eager to get his team back on track when Al-Nassr hosts Al-Raed on Friday in the Saudi Pro League.
