The head coach of Akwa United, Fatai Osho, has lamented the missed opportunities by his team, attributing these to their recent poor performances. The team, once league leaders, has faltered in the new season, securing only 10 points out of 30 available in their last ten matches.
Osho, a former coach of Remo Stars, highlighted the numerous missed opportunities that would have provided a significant advantage to the team. In their recent Matchday 10 fixture against Niger Tornadoes, Akwa United suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat, a consequence, in part, of these missed chances.
"We squandered many opportunities, particularly in the first half, and we paid dearly for it in the second," he expressed. "To regain our momentum, it's crucial that we convert our chances."
As of now, Akwa United holds the 10th position on the table, securing 10 points from 10 matches.
