Akwa Ibom State FA election holds May 22

Election into the Board of Akwa Ibom State Football Association is slated for Monday, 22 May.

The decision to conduct the State FA election came from the meeting of the board held at Imetex Hotel, Uyo which was presided over by the  Chairman of the Board, Hon Imo Attat; 
 
Purchase and Return of all completed forms, Wednesday,19th April 2023 - Wednesday, 10th May 2023 at Imetex Hotel( Tevoli Hotel) no. 8 Nsit lane off Abak Road, Uyo.

Other activities include the screening of candidates, Tuesday,11th May 2023- Wednesday, 12th May 12, 2023.

Appeals Committee sitting Monday, 15th May 2023 - Thursday,18th May 2023, and publication of the list of cleared candidates on Friday, May 19, 2023.

Representative of the NFF is expected to observe the forthcoming State FA election.

The Chairman of the Board, Hon Imo Attat has also assured that everything would be in place for a smooth election of the Association and further expressed confidence in Electoral Committee.

He advised all interested persons vying for any position in the upcoming election to eschew acts capable of bringing the exercise to disrepute and sued for total support from all stakeholders to ensure the success of the election.

The Electoral Committee which was set up months ago has swung into action to ensure a credible, free, and fair FA election.

The board also took decisions on several other issues bothering football-related activities.
