Kano Pillars Technical Adviser, Abdu Maikaba, has attributed their loss in the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 15 against Niger Tornadoes to a lack of good turf.
Maikaba, giving reasons for the away loss, said that his side suffered a lone-goal defeat at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna.
The Sai Masu Gida Gaffer commended the boys for their commitment during the encounter with the Ikon Allah Boys at the Northern Premier Stadium.
He assured the Kano State Government and the club's fans that he would do his best to ensure the Pyramid City team secures a continental ticket at the end of the soccer season.
The tactician then called on the supporters of the club to come out en masse to cheer the team to victory during their subsequent home matches.
Kano Pillars will play their next two home matches against Kwara United and Plateau United before the second stanza of the Premier League.
