FC Copenhagen has announced via their official website that Nigerian forward Paul Mukairu has been loaned out to Turkish First League club Boluspor for the rest of the season.
This marks the second loan spell for Mukairu since joining the Danish Superliga side in 2022. He spent the entirety of the previous season on loan at Reading, a League One team.
Mukairu returned to FC Copenhagen in the summer after Reading chose not to offer him a permanent contract. During his time with the Royals, he made 38 appearances across all competitions, scoring six goals and providing three assists.
The 24-year-old began his career at FC Hearts Academy and later turned professional with Turkish club Antalyaspor. He made his senior debut in the 2019-2020 season against Göztepe.
Since moving to FC Copenhagen, Mukairu has had limited opportunities, featuring in 25 matches across all competitions, including six starts. He also played in two Champions League games for Manchester City during the 2022-2023 season.
Mukairu previously had a loan stint at Anderlecht during the 2020-2021 season, where he participated in 29 matches and scored four goals.
His move to Boluspor is expected to provide him with more regular playing time and further his development.
