After a dismal season, Todd Boehly plans to lessen his participation with Chelsea

Todd Boehly, a co-owner of Chelsea, is apparently planning to lessen his involvement with the team following a disappointing start to life in west London.
Following a successful takeover at Stamford Bridge in May 2022, the American businessman promptly appointed himself director of football. He then presided over two dismal transfer windows that saw extravagant expenditure on subpar acquisitions.
In those early months, according to reports, Boehly's entourage rated his engagement as "50%," but that number has subsequently fallen to "20%" as a result of the duty being transferred to sporting directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley.
Now, Bloomberg reports that Boehly will play a greater supporting role ahead of a vital summer of signings in which Chelsea will try to make up the £121 million ($150 million) in yearly losses for 2021–22 while also improving in important areas of the pitch.
According to reports, the American is happy to let the club's aforementioned sporting directors handle business concerns, freeing him up to focus on other "commercial ventures".
The news will be welcomed by the Chelsea faithful since Boehly's domineering participation has surfaced on several occasions this season, leading to some supporters fighting with the American at Stamford Bridge.
