The 2024 edition of the NLO Cup, sponsored by Afriskaut, will kick off in October, with Bwari Stadium and Dipo Dina Stadium hosting the championship.
The clubs that excelled in the recently concluded NLO regular league season have also been informed of the date.
The NLO Cup, a tournament designed by the Board of Nationwide League One, will allow the champion clubs to compete among themselves and serve as a platform for the NLO to showcase the best talents in Nigeria's grassroots league.
NAEMO Sports, one of NLO's partners, will use its affiliate brand Afriskaut to sponsor the event, which will commence on October 5 and run until the final on Sunday, October 20.
Bwari Stadium in the Federal Capital Territory will host the Northern Conference, while Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu-Ode will host the Southern Conference.
According to Olushola Ogunnowo, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the NLO, the event will enable Afriskaut to use its AI-driven technology data collection to assist the clubs in showcasing their players to the world. The clubs will enter into a full-time agreement to further the relationship of players' data collection, which is key to promoting and creating pathways for grassroots football players on the global stage.
The NLO Secretariat will contact the qualified clubs individually for enrollment to ensure a well-organized tournament.
