Ademola Lookman warns Arsenal, saying "We are charged" ahead

Ademola Lookman, a forward for the Super Eagles, has issued a challenge to Arsenal ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash on Thursday, signaling that he and his teammates are fully prepared. Lookman made a notable return for Atalanta over the weekend, where he made an impact by scoring a goal and providing an assist in their 3-2 Serie A victory over Fiorentina at Gewiss Stadium.


Atalanta's next fixture is a Champions League match against Arsenal, also at Gewiss Stadium. Despite having the home advantage, Atalanta faces a tough challenge as Arsenal is considered the favorite due to their squad's strength.


However, Lookman is confident about his team's chances and believes they have a strong opportunity to secure a win against the London club. He expressed his anticipation of the match, acknowledging Arsenal's formidable reputation but emphasizing that Atalanta is ready for the challenge.


“Arsenal are a very strong team, and I know what to expect from them. Playing against a team of that level is always a difficult challenge, but we are ready,” Lookman stated, according to Tutto Atalanta.


He further highlighted that Atalanta earned their spot in the Champions League through their impressive performance last season and is eager to demonstrate their worth. Lookman is confident that the atmosphere at Gewiss Stadium will add to the excitement of the European fixture.

Atalanta’s last appearance in the Champions League was during the 2021/22 season. After a successful Europa League campaign last season, the team is looking to make a significant impact in Europe’s premier club competition.
