Adamawa Warriors defeat Sunshine Kings of Akure

Adamawa Warriors have emerged champions of the National Division One League 2023 after defeating Sunshine Kings of Akure in an epic final at the indoor sports hall of the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, Edo State.

The Yola-based team, who got promoted to the Ardova Handball Premier League on Day 5 after shockingly defeating tournament favourite COAS Shooters, encountered end to end stuff against Sunshine Kings but eventually overcame their opponent with a 22-20 victory to be crowned champion for the Division One League.

Sunshine Kings have also gained promotion and will play in the Ardova Handball Premier League 2024, as second placed while COAS Shooters settled for third position after defeating Nasarawa Ambassadors 34-25.

In the women category, Rivers Queens were crowned champion after going unbeaten in the National Division One League. They have also gained promotion into the Ardova Handball Premier League.

COAS Babes finished second after they comfortably defeated Fountain Queens 35-19 and they also earned a promotion to the Ardova Handball Premier League.

Mindscope Academy ruthlessly saw UNIBEN with a 32-17 victory.
