AC Milan and Villarreal have successfully reached an agreement for the transfer of Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze, making him the latest Super Eagle to join the Italian Serie A.
The deal, valued at €28 million, includes an upfront payment of €20 million, with an additional €8 million in performance-based bonuses, securing Chukwueze's services for a five-year contract until the end of the 2027-28 season.
The negotiations also saw personal terms discussed and settled with the 24-year-old player, whose contract with Villarreal was set to expire soon, prompting the Spanish club to capitalize on his value this summer.
The completion of the transfer is expected to be announced over the weekend or early next week, allowing Chukwueze to join AC Milan during their pre-season tour in the United States, alongside other Nigerian talents making their mark in Serie A, such as Victor Osimhen of Napoli, Ademola Lookman of Atalanta, and Isaac Success of Udinese.
