The ABS FC Players’ Talent Hunt and Development Program (PTDP), an initiative aimed at discovering and developing young football talents, continued at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi, with a total of 28 teams participating.
Following a successful start in Kaduna on Friday, July 26, 2024, where top talents were discovered, attention now turns to Bauchi, with hopes of uncovering more talents for the future.
Twenty-eight teams, including Warinje FC, Nacho Academy, Crown FC, Green Pillars, Hasla FC, Real Jahun, 11 Scorpions, Kobi Lion Killer, Golden Flamingo FC, Qalam, Kelechi Iheanacho FC, Kobi Rangers, Dass United, Khalifawa, Brazib Academy, Spartans, Two Touch, Shinkafi United, Guru United, Total Energy, and Mighty Sparrow, took part in Day One of the Talent Hunt in Bauchi.
The program’s focus on grassroots development and providing opportunities for young players has generated significant excitement, with talent scouts and football enthusiasts eagerly anticipating the discovery of Nigeria’s next big stars.
Funmilayo Owolabi, Secretary of ABS Ilorin FC, expressed satisfaction with the enthusiasm and coordination displayed at the Bauchi center, stating, “I am thoroughly impressed with the enthusiasm and coordination displayed here at the Bauchi center.
“The talent hunt is incredible, and I have no doubt that we will discover some of Nigeria’s future football stars from this pool,” she said.
