Abia Warriors spoil Bendel Insurance winning run

Super Eagles Team B forward, Sunday Megwo, made a huge difference for his side, Abia Warriors, as the team bounced back to winning ways with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Bendel Insurance in a Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 29 encounter on Sunday at the Umuahia Township Stadium.  


The forward has now scored in back-to-back home games after heading home a delightful cross from Andrew Abalaogun to put Imama Amapakabo's side in the lead in the 43rd minute.  


With the goal, the Umuahia-born goal poacher has now bagged nine goals and three assists in 24 league appearances for Abia Warriors.  


Only Nasarawa United's forward, Anas Yusuf, has scored more goals (13) than him in the NPFL this season.  


Abia Warriors' coach expressed joy over the victory, urging his players to secure more wins.
