Erasmus Onu, the Technical Adviser of Nigeria Premier Football League's Abia Warriors, has emphasized the club's aspirations for the upcoming season.
Despite a shaky start and missing out on the Super 6 playoffs, the Umuahia-based team finished the last season strongly.
Onu, in a pre-season statement, made it unequivocal that Abia Warriors possess the necessary ingredients to contend for the league championship, and they are making it their top priority.
"We are right on track. As the new league season approaches, we will approach each match one step at a time. We will handle challenges as they come," he declared.
"The ultimate goal is the championship trophy. That's what everyone is aiming for, and that's precisely what I'm determined to achieve," he added.
This season, Abia Warriors is anticipated to return to their home games at Umuahia Township Stadium, a shift from the previous season when they adopted Okigwe Stadium in Imo State as their home ground.
