2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 27: Abia Warriors midfield maestro, Adejoh, targets maximum points against Nasarawa United

Posted : 02 March 2025

Having halted Kwara United's eight-game home winning streak with a deserved 0-0 draw in Ilorin midweek, Abia Warriors have shifted their attention to Sunday's clash against Salisu Yusuf’s Nasarawa United.

Umu Chineke are already back in Umuahia and have stepped up their preparations for the game under the supervision of the club's Technical Adviser, Imama Amapakabo, who drilled the boys in various tactical training exercises.

The players are brimming with confidence, and the atmosphere among them is one of optimism, as revealed by the team's midfield maestro, Ojonugwa Adejoh, while speaking with the club's media.

"There is a positive mindset in the Warriors' camp now. Everyone is excited about the results we've achieved so far. So far, so good—the morale of the players in the Abia Warriors camp is high."

The Kogi State-born midfield enforcer also stated that the team is focused on securing maximum points while sticking to the gaffer's game plan.

"We will stick to the plan and follow the TA's instructions while playing our game. The most important thing is for us to get the three points."

Abia Warriors currently occupy the 5th position on the NPFL table with 40 points, whereas Nasarawa United are 10 points behind in 17th place.
