7th NYG Delta 2023: Team FCT dreams of Top-5 finish

Team FCT are now on their way to Asaba for the 2023 National Youths Game (NYG) where they hope to continue with their usual impressive good form at successive youth games.

Although, the size of the contingent remains sketchy notwithstanding the youngsters are in high spirit and looking forward to doing the territory proud. 

At the last edition of the NYG held in 2021, and hosted by the University of Ilorin, Kwara State; Team FCT placed 7th, and was widely praised for being one of the contingents that competed with athletes that were truly 15 years and under. 

According to the Assistant Director in charge of Sports Development, Iyoola Ogundele, "this time around, we are determined to surpass our performance, at the last edition of the youth games in Ilorin.

"FCT will be competing in the following Sports; Athletics, Badminton, Beach volleyball, Boxing, Chess, Golf, Gymnastics, Judo, Karate Shooting Taekwondo, Tennis,Trado Sports and Weightlifting,'' he said.
