7th Muhammadu Buhari Football kicks off in Daura amidst applause

The 7th edition of former President Muhammadu Buhari's football competition in the Daura Senatorial Zone has kicked off at the Umar Faruq Township Stadium in Daura.


Musa Haro Football Academy and FC Barcelona Daura started the soccer tournament's opening ceremony in front of hundreds of football fans who had gathered to watch the historic match.


The rain-soaked event impressed the throngs of sports fans who had assembled to witness the match.


Musa Haro Football Academy's Tutuwa scored first, ten minutes into the game, and doubled the lead 45 minutes later.


FC Barcelona Daura's Muhammad Mustapha scored twice in 15 minutes to level the score for his team.


Musa Haro Football Academy and FC Barcelona Daura tied with two goals each.


Shortly after, the competition's organizer, Alhaji Sani Abu Dauda Daura, praised the two football clubs for their sportsmanship during the game.


Alhaji Sani Abu Daura pledged that the competition's winner will be awarded N1 million, with the second place receiving N500,000 and the third place receiving N300,000.
