2026 World Cup Qualifier: Super Eagles to battle Lesotho, Zimbabwe

The Nigeria national football team, the Super Eagles, is now scheduled to face the Lesotho national team, the Crocodiles, in the opening match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers on Friday, November 17.
The match is expected to be played at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, and the team led by Jose Peseiro hopes to begin the qualifiers on a positive note.
Three days later, the three-time African champions will compete against Zimbabwe on November 20, with the game scheduled to be held at Amarhoro Stadium in Kigali.
Benin Republic, managed by former Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr, South Africa's Bafana Bafana, and Rwanda are the other teams in the group.
The top team in the group will automatically advance to the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
