The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) announced on Tuesday that the state preliminaries of the 2025 President Federation Cup competition began on Monday, with the final matches in the states scheduled to be played on either February 22nd or February 23rd.
"All final matches in the states must be played on either Saturday, February 22nd, or Sunday, February 23rd, 2025, unless special approval is granted by the NFF.
Failure to adhere to these dates without special approval from the NFF will result in a fine of N1 million for the offending State FA.
"At the same time, any club that fails to honor any match at the state level, after the draw has been released, will pay a fine of N500,000.
"If any club fails to honor a match during the national competition, that club will be fined N1 million," Ruth David, Director of Competitions, said.
"The National Play-Off of this year’s competition has been scheduled for March 5th, with the National Draw taking place one week later. The Rounds of 64, 32, and 16 are scheduled for March 19th, April 2nd, and April 16th, 2025, respectively.
"The quarter-finals have been set for May 3rd and 4th, with the semi-finals scheduled for May 17th and 18th," the NFF said.
