2025 NWFL: Rivers Angels unveil 14 new players for league season

Seven-time Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) champions, Rivers Angels, have unveiled 14 new players for the 2024/2025 season.


The Jewels of Rivers signed a total of 14 new players, including two goalkeepers, two defenders, four midfielders, and six attackers.


The new players are:  
- Anderline Mgbechi (Goalkeeper)  
- Fatima Oloko (Goalkeeper)  
- Saka Sadiat (Defender)  
- Anike Azeez (Defender)  
- Taiwo Afolabi (Midfielder)  
- Chidera Okenwa (Midfielder)  
- Yusuf Nana (Midfielder)  
- Azeezat Oluwole (Midfielder)  
- Blessing Ifitezue (Striker)  
- Offor Mary Moses (Striker)  
- Aweda Titilayo (Striker)  
- Ajibade Taiwo (Striker)  
- Nwachukwu Chisom (Striker)  
- Aganmuyi Taiwo (Striker)  


The 2024/2025 NWFL season will kick off on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.  


The opening match, featuring defending champions Edo Queens against Abia Angels, will take place at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on the same day.
