The Golden Eaglets have intensified their training activities in the Ghanaian capital, Accra, in preparation for the defense of their WAFU B U17 Championship title at this year’s edition of the competition commencing on Wednesday, 15th May.
The team trained on Monday at the same field where the John Paintsil Academy trains, while the former Ghanaian international commended the team.
Also, the team were in class yesterday to learn the laws of the game. Dr. Mohammed Ameenu of NFF, a CAF instructor, taught the players and officials of the team.
The Eaglets begin their defense of the title when they confront their counterparts from Burkina Faso at the University Stadium on Thursday, 16th May, with kickoff set for 3 pm Ghana time (4 pm Nigeria time), before matches against Niger Republic on Sunday, 19th May (6 pm Ghana, 7 pm Nigeria), and Togo on Wednesday, 22nd May (4 pm Ghana, 5 pm Nigeria).
The match against Niger Republic will also be held at the University Stadium, while the clash with Togo will take place at the Accra Sports Stadium.
