Nigeria’s Flying Eagles will begin the defense of their West African Football Union (WAFU-B) Under-20 crown against Burkinabe opponents on Friday, October 18, 2024, in Lomé, Togo.
The opening Group B match of the African sub-regional youth tournament is slated for the Municipal Stadium in Lomé, with kick-off set for 3 PM local time.
Next up for the coach Aliyu Zubairu-led Eagles are the Ivorians in a final Group B game six days later.
This match will also be played at the Municipal Stadium, with kick-off at 3 PM.
The WAFU B competition will begin on Thursday, October 17, 2024, when hosts Togo take on Niger at the Kegue Stadium.
Ghana and Benin are the other teams in Group A.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals of the qualifying competition for next year’s U20 AFCON in South Africa.
