Edo Queens defender Rihannat Kasali noted that the team is committed to achieving their aim of qualifying for the CAF Women’s Champions League.
The Benin-based side began their CAF Women’s Champions League qualification journey with an impressive 5-0 win over AS Garde Nationale.
Kasali, who played a pivotal role in the victory, praised her teammates, the technical crew, and their supporters at home for believing in them.
“It was an important win for us, as we needed to start on a good note.
“We remain focused and determined to continue pushing forward for more wins.
“We will take each game as it comes, and we are confident we will make ourselves and everyone happy,” she concluded.
Goals from Emem Essien, Captain Suliat Abideen, Blessing Illievida, Esther Moses, and Joy Jerry ensured that Edo Queens secured a comfortable win at the Stade De Yamoussoukro.
The team will now face Ghanaian champions Hasaacas Ladies FC on Wednesday, August 14, in Yamoussoukro.
