Honey Badgers were held to a 1-1 draw. Comfort Saawau opened the scoring in the first half, but the team dropped two points after conceding a direct free-kick at the stroke of full-time.

It was a five-goal thriller in the game between Dannaz Ladies and Nazareth Ladies. Chukwuma Augusta gave Dannaz the lead in the 19th minute, but Illoma Rosemary responded for Nazareth with the first of her two goals in the 21st minute. Ayeni A restored the lead for Dannaz, only for Nazareth to equalize through Rosemary’s second goal, a penalty, a minute later. Naomi Galo sealed the win for Nazareth with a powerful strike just after the start of the second half.

In the final game of the day, it was all Naija Ratels as they booked a place in the semifinals with a 2-0 win over Heartland Queens. Both goals were scored in the first half by Agama Zipreke.

The tournament continues on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at the Sheroes Cup. Honey Badgers will battle Heartland Queens, while Nasarawa Amazons will face Nazareth Ladies in classification matches.

The semifinals will feature Remo Stars Ladies taking on Naija Ratels, while Bayelsa Queens will go head-to-head with Abia Angels.

All four teams compete in the elite Premiership stage of the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL).

All matches will be played at the Area 3 pitch.
