Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, the NFF General Secretary, emphasized that the selection of this date was carefully deliberated and agreed upon by both the NFF and GTI. This decision was made with the impending deadline in mind, as Nigeria must submit the names of its representative clubs for next season’s continental club competitions to the Confederation of African Football by midnight on Sunday, 30th June.
"After thorough consideration of our schedules, the current stages of the men's and women's competitions, and the urgency to submit our clubs' names to CAF, the NFF and GTI have jointly decided to schedule the grand finale of the President Federation Cup for Saturday, 29th June," Dr. Sanusi explained. The MKO Abiola National Stadium, located in Abuja, has been chosen as the venue for this momentous occasion. The women's final is set to kick off at 1 p.m., followed by the men's final at 4 p.m., maintaining a longstanding tradition cherished by fans and participants alike.
