Coming down from the recently concluded Opo Scouting Program at Ikenne Remo Stadium, Ogun State, Best Talent Football Club of Mowe played to a 2-2 draw with an Ibadan-based football outfit at Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.
The Ibadan-based side took the lead with an early international statement goal in the 2nd minute of the game, only for the visiting team to equalize in the 4th minute of the explosive encounter.
Both sides eventually managed to score one more goal each, resulting in a 2-2 draw at the end of regulation time.
Now, attention will be shifted to Odogbo Barracks to arrange a match with Ottasolo FC in a warm-up game.
The Lagos-based outfit has just secured a playoff ticket with an unbeaten run at the Ikenne Centre in Ogun State, providing an opportunity to test their team against the high-flying Best Talent.
The Chairman of the Mowe outfit, Adeyinka Adeyemo, expressed delight with the club's performance.
He said despite jet lag from traveling, the boys still managed to produce a fair result against their hosts.
"I believe the team is performing well with the results they've achieved so far, moving from one state to another and still giving their opponents a tough challenge.
"The players are adapting to different pitches and still making a significant impact. I commend the entire team.
"I am particularly interested in their match against Ottasolo FC tomorrow.
"The team is known for playing attacking football, and for them to have secured the playoff ticket in the Nationwide League One at the Ikenne Remo Centre speaks volumes. It's an assessment game and, of course, a curtain-raiser for the Lagosians. I can't wait for the game," he enthusiastically added.
The match between Best Talent FC and Ottasolo is scheduled to take place at Odogbo Barracks, Ibadan.
