2024 NWFL: Edo Queens' dominant display excites Uroko Valentina

As Edo Queens kicked off their title defense in emphatic fashion, delivering a resounding 5-0 victory over Abia Angels, the team's playmaker, Uroko Valentina, has predicted a league crown for her club.


The Benin City-based side showcased their attacking prowess with goals from five different players, securing a comfortable win.


Miracle Usani, Emem Essien, Goodness Osigwe, Loveth Edeh, and Kafayat Mafishere all found the back of the net, contributing to Moses Aduku's side's impressive start to the 2024/2025 league campaign.


Uroko Valentina shared her excitement following the dominant performance.


"I feel excited and happy after the victory over Abia Angels. I really thank God for everything," Valentina said after the match.


"My team tried as well. We won the game. I also tried to do my best not to concede a goal."


Uroko also outlined her personal and team objectives for the season.


"It can only be God. My main target this season is to lift the league title again with my teammates at Edo Queens, and I pray for more victories ahead," she concluded.


Edo Queens will look to continue their winning streak when they visit Heartland Queens at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in their next league game on January 22.
