2024 NSF: Team Osun upbeat about Southwest Zonal Elimination battle

Ahead of the Southwest Zonal Elimination, the female football team of Osun State, under the tutelage of Coach Salam Ashiru, has started preparations and is ready to go.


The Zonal Elimination, which serves as a qualification stage for the National Sports Festival, will be held at Ilaji Resorts and Liberty Stadium in Oyo State.


At the training session, the players were full of energy and enthusiasm for the task ahead.


While speaking with journalists shortly after their training, Coach Salam said that the team's spirit is very high, and they are ready to make the state proud.


"We know we are going to the eliminations to play against tough opposition, but we are confident that we will qualify the state for the National Sports Festival in Abeokuta."


"The spirit in the team is high. The girls are ready to go, and they strongly believe that they will have good outings," concluded Coach Salam.


The football event of the Southwest Zonal Elimination will take place at Liberty Stadium, Ibadan, between February 24th and 28th, 2025.
