Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State expressed his heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to Nasarawa United for their outstanding performance and achievements in the just-concluded 2023/24 Nigeria National League Super Eight Play-offs tournament held in Enugu State from June 7th to 13th, 2024. The tournament saw the team earn promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) for the next season.

The Governor, a staunch supporter of the club, made these remarks on Friday following the Solid Miners' 3-4 penalty shootout loss to Beyond Limits Football Academy on Thursday evening, after a regulation time that ended 2-2 apiece.

Gov. Sule said, "Congratulations to the hottest boys in the league of the best. You, Nasarawa United, remain my champions.

"Thank you for the marvelous outing. You made us all proud, and there's no ambiguity or grammar about that. The most important thing is we are back in the Premier League, and we are grateful to the Almighty God, our team, and fans. Up Nasarawa United!

"We look forward to giving you a hero's welcome."

The Governor also congratulated the club's Technical Adviser, Usman Adams, the management headed by Dr. Othman Ahmed Ibrahim, the entire team, and supporters for their dedication, hard work, and teamwork, which brought pride and honor to the state.

"Congratulations on a well-deserved recognition, my dear brother Coach Usman Adams, for being named the Best Coach of the Super Eight competition, and congratulations to the team, management, and our superb supporters."

Engr. Sule further congratulated Beyond Limits FA, the champions of the 2023/24 NNL Campaign, for their excellent performance throughout the one-week tournament.

"Congratulations, Beyond Limits, for what you have achieved at the tournament."

Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, who represented the Governor, led a delegation from the state to the Super Eight grand finale. They were received by Hon. Jafaru Ango, Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, and Chief Barr. Isaac Danladi, Permanent Secretary, at Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu.

Ibrahim Musa Gusau, President of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), along with other top football stakeholders, were hosted to an entertaining finale by the George Aluo-led Board of the NNL.

Nasarawa United will participate in next season's Nigeria Premier Football League, one season after their relegation to the lower division.
