2024 NNL Pre-season soccer tournament gets new date

The 2024 NNL Ahlan Pre-season tournament is set to get underway, with teams from the nation's second-tier division preparing for the forthcoming season.


The tournament's coordinator, Aba Huraira Dahiru, who also serves as a member of the central working committee, stated that the pre-season competition is organized to get participating teams in shape ahead of the 2024/2025 Nigeria National League season.

Abu Huraira also mentioned that the tournament will begin on November 22, with the final and closing ceremony scheduled for November 30 at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi.


He further added that sub-working committees have been established for the smooth running of the eight-day event.


The participating teams are drawn from the northern region and are as follows:


- Wikki Tourist FC
- Jigawa Golden Stars FC
- Might Jet FC
- Gombe United FC
- Discovery FC Kebbi
- Doma United FC
- Yobe Desert FC
- Adamawa United FC
- Younger Generation FC, Bauchi
- Kada Warriors FC
- Barau FC Kano
- Darazo Academy


The coordinator then wished the teams a successful journey and a hitch-free tournament.
