2024 Gusau/Ahlan Cup: Lobi Stars FC gets Niger Tornadoes' test ahead of Q/final clash

High-flying Lobi Stars FC of Makurdi will now have to confront Niger Tornadoes in the quarter-finals of the 2024 Gusau/Ahlan Pre-Season Tournament at the New Jos International Stadium, Plateau State.


The Alia Boys secured their place in the last eight after an unbeaten run of three matches, finishing top of Group C with seven points.


On the other hand, Niger Tornadoes finished second in Group A, setting up a mouth-watering clash with the 'Yes Father Boys.'


The highly-anticipated clash will take place on Tuesday, 27th August 2024, at the New Jos International Stadium at 1:30 p.m.


Coach Eugene Agagbe and his squad will enter the match with high confidence, having scored three goals and conceded none in the group stages.


The pre-season tournament serves as a preparatory ground for teams to fine-tune their squads ahead of the 31st August 2024 kickoff of the 2024/2025 NPFL season.
