2024 FA Cup: Heartland set to face Heartland Feeder in Imo FA Cup

Posted : 22 March 2024

Heartland FC will slug it out with Heartland Feeders in the quarterfinals of the 2024 Imo FA Cup at the Old Stadium, Tetlow Road, Owerri.

The Naze Millionaires annihilated King David of Uzoagba, Ikeduru LGA 4-0 through the goals of Samuel Stone, Ikechukwu Brandon, Christian Molokwu, and Ezekiel Bassey, while Heartland Feeders eliminated Barzo FC of Owerri in the earlier round.

Everything is set for the game, which kicks off at 4 pm on Friday, with the winner of the tie facing Ikukuoma FC, Mbaise, in the semifinals of the competition.

Afolabi Timothy, who had an outstanding game against King David FC, told Heartland FC Media that he wants to do his best again if given another chance to play today.

He said his objective is to continue to impress the Technical Crew headed by Christian Obi so that he can get more playing time, especially in the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League season.

"The game against King David FC was a good game for me and the team. We wanted to show what we are capable of, and we succeeded in doing that," Timothy told Heartland FC Media.

"The game with Heartland FC Feeders is a local derby, and we will give it our all. I want to ensure that I can score one or two goals in the game if I am picked to play."

Meanwhile, Heartland FC has received permission from the Nigeria Premier Football League to make use of the facilities at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba, for their home matches starting from their weekend home fixture with Enugu Rangers.

Heartland FC will host their league games in Aba until the work on the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri, is completed.
