2024 Beach Soccer World Winners Cup: Kebbi Fishers drawn in Group C

Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) champions, Kebbi BSC, will have to battle against Real Munster (Denmark), Copenhagen BSC (Denmark), and Al-Taawoun Club (Saudi Arabia) in Group C of the 2024 World Winners Cup in Alghero, Italy.


The three-time NBSL champions reached the Round of 16 last year.

 


This year's edition will take place at the Lungomare San Giovanni from September 17 to 22.


Kebbi BSC are the 2023 Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) champions and have also remained Africa’s top-ranked team for the third consecutive year, as Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW) released the latest beach soccer world club ranking.


Ranked 108th in the world and 1st in Africa according to the previous beach soccer rankings, Kebbi BSC has moved up 50 places in the latest global rankings.


Kebbi BSC gained 340 points to rise to the 58th position in the world.


The team’s Round of 16 placement at the 2023 World Winners Cup lifted the Birnin-Kebbi-based side into the top 58 clubs globally.


The team’s best global ranking remains their 49th position, achieved after the 2019 World Winners Cup.


To continue their dominance as the top-ranked beach soccer team in Africa for the third consecutive year, Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW) recently unveiled the latest world club rankings, which reaffirmed Kebbi BSC’s prestigious position.


In the previous beach soccer rankings, Kebbi BSC held the 108th spot globally and the 1st position in Africa. However, their recent performance has catapulted them up 50 places on the global stage, now placing them at an impressive 58th position worldwide.


While Kebbi BSC’s best global ranking remains at the 49th position, achieved after the 2019 World Winners Cup, their current surge in the rankings showcases their enduring excellence and commitment to beach soccer.
