2024 AFRISKAUT NLO Cup: Bendel Insurance Feeders, Kun Khalifa game ends in 1-1 stalemate

Bendel Insurance Feeders were forced to a 1-1 draw by Kun Khalifa FC on Sunday morning in the second matchday of the ongoing 2024 AFRISKAUT Nationwide League One CUP in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.


Captain Eweka Sylvester gave Insurance FC Feeders the lead in the 14th minute of play, as the young Benin Arsenals dominated play throughout the first half.


In the second half, Insurance Feeders maintained the lead until the 82nd minute when their opponents equalized following a defensive error.


Insurance Feeders goalkeeper Okhiria Jeffery gave a good account of himself with several beautiful saves that prevented their opponents from securing three points. The Insurance side also missed many scoring chances that could have changed the result.


The South-South champions will be playing their last group B game against First Bank FC on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at the Ijebu Ode stadium. Kick-off time is 4:00 PM.
