Newly promoted Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Nasarawa United has re-signed former defender Victor Collins on a loan deal from fellow NPFL team Remo Stars until the end of the 2024/25 season.
The deal, which also includes an option for a permanent move at the end of the season, will see the left-footed center-back return to Laifa ahead of the 2024/25 NPFL season.
Victor, who joined the Ikenne-based club during the summer of the 2022/2023 season after a successful individual campaign with the Solid Miners, has had a difficult campaign in Daniel Ogunmodede's team setup due to injuries at the end of the 2023/24 season.
The defender was part of the Remo Stars' team that took part in the recently concluded Coal City International Cup, hosted in Enugu last week. The cup was won by Shooting Stars after they defeated Remo Stars on penalties in the final.
With this latest move to Nasarawa United, it will bring a fresh start for the Enugu-born defender, allowing him to return with renewed enthusiasm for the game he truly loves.
He is expected to add more quality to Nasarawa United's defensive line under head coach Usman Adams as they prepare for the new football season.
