Ahead of the new season and a potential return to the top flight football league, Heartland FC has announced a major shake-up in the squad, with a significant number of players from last season being shown the exit door.
Additionally, the Naze Millionaires have announced the arrival of 30 new players.
Recall that Heartland FC was relegated to the lower league, the Nigeria National League (NNL), after an unsuccessful spell in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), having spent only one season in the top flight.
However, a chance opened for the Naze Millionaires to return to the NPFL after one of the newly promoted sides, Beyond Limits Academy, failed to meet the conditions set by the NPFL to participate in the league.
Heartland FC, on its X account, stated that the decision to unveil the new players was in response to the league body's action to transfer their participation rights to another club.
The Naze Millionaires then unveiled 30 new players who will compete in the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
The unveiling ceremony, which took place in Owerri, was preceded by the inaugural Dan Anyiam Cup.
