Kano Pillars FC on Friday announced the appointment of Usman Abdallah, a former assistant coach of the Super Eagles, as their new Technical Adviser.
Sai Masu Gida, four-time champions of the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL), announced the appointment of Abdallah on their X platform.
The club expressed excitement over the agreement on their official X page.
“We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve reached an agreement in principle to appoint Usman Abdallah as our new Technical Adviser. Stay tuned for more details on the contract and what’s next for the team,” the statement read.
Usman Abdallah is expected to bring his wealth of experience to Kano Pillars, having worked with several NPFL clubs, including Enyimba and Wikki Tourists. He also served as an assistant coach for the Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles. Notably, Abdallah led Katsina United to NPFL promotion two years ago, showcasing his ability to rebuild and strengthen teams.
The appointment comes as Kano Pillars look to bounce back from a disappointing campaign last season. The club is in a rebuilding phase and hopes that Abdallah’s expertise and leadership will guide them to success in the upcoming season.
Abdallah’s track record and familiarity with the NPFL make him a strategic choice for Kano Pillars. His ability to promote teams and improve their performance will be crucial as the club aims to reclaim its position at the top of Nigerian football.
Further details about Abdallah’s contract and plans for the team will be released soon. Fans and supporters are eagerly anticipating the positive changes his leadership will bring to Kano Pillars. The club is optimistic about the future under Abdallah’s guidance and looks forward to a successful season ahead.
