Heartland Queens FC announced on Wednesday that the club is extending invitations to all interested and talented players, both from within and outside the state, to participate in an open screening exercise. This exercise will commence on Wednesday, August 21.
According to the club, the well-organized one-week screening exercise will be conducted under the supervision of the team's coaching staff, led by Coach Obi Ogbala. It will take place at the club's training ground at Ndegwu Primary School, Ndegwu, in the Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State, starting from 8 a.m. daily.
Interested participants are requested to bring their personal training kits and gear, as they are expected to cover their own expenses during the screening period.
Successful candidates will be immediately integrated into the main squad, along with some of the invited experienced players, to further strengthen the team for the upcoming 2024/2025 NWFL Premiership season.
The camp for the new season has been open since Thursday, August 15, with the returning players training daily in preparation for the new league season.
Heartland Queens had their best-ever season performance in the 2023/2024 NWFL Premiership, qualifying for their first-ever NWFL Premiership Super Six playoffs in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
