In a bid to enhance Sunshine Stars' chances for the 2024/2025 season, the Technical Adviser of the team, Kennedy Boboye, has decided to acquire Remo Stars' forward Isaac James on loan.
James will join the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side for the remainder of the season on a loan deal with an option to make it permanent at the end of the 2024/2025 season.
The forward had a difficult campaign last season due to injuries, which affected his playing time with coach Daniel Ogunmodede's Remo Stars team, as they finished in second place behind champions Rangers International.
Isaac also featured for the Sky Blue Stars during the recently concluded 2024 ValueJets Cup in Ikenne, which was won by Remo Stars. Before leaving the Ikenne side to join the Akure-based team on loan, there was hope to make the deal permanent after the end of the season.
With this latest move to Sunshine Stars, it will mark a fresh start for the Benue-born forward and he is expected to contribute significantly to Kennedy Boboye's side as they continue their preparations for the new football season.
