2024/2025 NWFL Season: Odoma warms up for second stanza

Edo Queens' mercurial midfielder Amarachi Odoma Cordelia said she's in top form to help her team in the second stanza of the Nigerian Women Football League (NWFL).


Amarachi Odoma stated this during a chat with journalists on Sunday, noting that she is mentally and psychologically prepared for the second stanza.


"I am very prepared, and with the help of my coach, I will perform well," she said.


Odoma maintained that, with the contribution of the new players, the team is poised to retain the title.


"Yes, because we are ready to retain the title with the help of the new players in my team."


Amarachi Odoma urged Edo Queens fans and supporters to give the team tremendous support and stand by them during difficult times.


"My message to Edo Queens fans and supporters is to believe in the team, even if the team is going through difficulties."


Edo Queens sits in second position with 17 points, two points adrift of Remo Stars Ladies in Group A of the NWFL.


The defending champions will begin their title defense in the first match of the second round when they travel to Ekiti Queens on March 19, 2025, in Ado Ekiti.


Amarachi Odoma expressed confidence that the team will do what it takes to retain the title.
