As Bayelsa Queens FC prepares to play a friendly match against Bayelsa Stars Football Club in preparation for the forthcoming Betsy Obaseki Pre-season Football Tournament, the head coach of the team and 2024 President Federation Cup winner, Ogbonna Whyte, has claimed that he foresaw a bigger picture of greatness for the club.
The Technical Adviser of Bayelsa Queens Football Club, Ogbonda, said that the team is working diligently to make the squad more formidable for next season and that they will do everything possible to ensure the Prosperity Girls return to what people know them for, which is winning.
"We know next season will be tougher, and that is why we have started preparations early to establish a good team before the commencement of the new season," Whyte said.
"We're already thinking about winning the league next season.
"That’s the big dream now for all of us who are united by this universal allegiance that is Bayelsa Queens. We're working hard to achieve it and accomplish something that may appear impossible to many.
"We're going to bring in more players to make the team more formidable," Whyte Ogbonda added.
The friendly match will be played at the Samson Siasia Stadium.
