2024/2025 NWFL Premiership: Nasarawa Amazons in first training ahead of opening fixtures

As coaches and players observed the New Year celebration, Nigeria Women's Premier League side Nasarawa Amazons resumed their first training session at the Lafia City Stadium, Lafia.  


The Amazons had been on a short break to observe the holiday season.  


The team resumed training on Dec. 27, 2024, with sessions on Monday and Tuesday, the latter being the final day of the year 2024.  


Nasarawa Amazons FC announced that the team is gearing up for the 2025 football season, with 98% of the players already in camp.  


With the return of Odubanjo Dominance and Emmanuel Gift, as well as newcomers Igbokwe Joy and Oladiti Rukkayatt, alongside young and energetic Odoh Bibiana, experienced Mathias Josephine, Unachukwu Udoka, and Yina Adoo, Nasarawa Amazons are poised to make a significant impact in the NWFL 2024/2025 league season.  


“Let’s gear up as we start the season strong and prepare for the league in earnest," said the General Manager of the team. "We will welcome Dannaz Ladies of Lagos to Lafia for our first Group A game, and we aim to begin on a high note."
