As the Match Day 8 fixtures of the ongoing Nigeria Women's Premier Football League get underway, Nasarawa Amazons will take on Group A leaders Remo Stars Ladies at the Lafia City Stadium in Lafia, as Nasarawa Amazons are ready for the battle on their home front.
The last time both sides met in Ikenne, Nasarawa Amazons lost 4-0.
Nasarawa Amazons’ Igbokwe Joy is, however, upbeat about the team's readiness to secure a positive result this time around.
"Our expectations are high. We lost the last game at their home, and now they come to our ground for the reverse fixture. I think it will be a different game.
"I know we should be ready to fight, and we are ready to get the three points. Hard work and determination will help us achieve that. We are ready to put in our best."
The Nasarawa Amazons are currently in 4th place with 12 points on the league table, while the visitors occupy 1st place with 19 points.
However, Nasarawa Amazons' skipper, Mathias Josephine, is out with a minor injury.
The Lafia landladies will look to consolidate their push for a top-three finish as they clash with Remo Stars Ladies.
